Sulal Mathai (CPHR)
Chair
A business professional worked across the globe, Sulal has been part of Darwin multicultural community since 2016. He is a member of Minister’s Advisory Council of Multicultural Affairs NTG and he co-chairs the skills and employment (SEWG) working group and partner with various government departments, both federal and state to address the challenges faced by CALD people. Sulal is a founding member of Ignite and has been the lead trainer for the onboarding program for skilled migrants since its inception in 2018.
An avid researcher, Sulal has presented at global conferences and authored articles on topics such as leadership, migration and career pathways. Sulal hosts Careers Australia program in M4 Malayalam television channel, an IPTV broadcasting from Melbourne, Australia. He is currently the secretary of Australian HR Institute NT state council and was the judge for AHRI HR Awards 2019.


Kevin Wrigley
Vice Chair
Kevin has more than 15 years of experience working in a variety of executive and management roles in health care, aged care and community services; and a solid background in not-for-profit, and for-profit work environments.
Kevin is an experienced Non-Executive Director on not-for-profit national and state boards, government advisory groups and school councils. Kevin is the CEO of Pintuppi Aboriginal Health Service.


Jennifer Dowling
Secretary
Jen worked for NT Department of Education as a teacher of English Literature, Drama, Dance and Creative Arts to senior High School students from 1985 to 2016. In the last four years she has volunteered at annual Literary Festivals in Darwin, Bali and Sri Lanka (Galle) while also teaching English to migrants, giving private tuition to University students, copy writing and editing.
Jennifer is currently a teacher at Steps, who provides adult migrant English learning program in Darwin.



Manu Kurian
Treasurer
Manu Kurian is a Registered Social Worker and has a number of years of experience under his belt. He has earned various Certificate IV qualifications in areas such as Disability, Child Youth and Family Interventions, Mental Health, etc.
Manu is a community person and actively volunteers at various culturally and linguistically diverse programs that is conducted across Northern Territory. In the most recent event, he participated in the workshop on cultural awareness by Cross Cultural Consultants, Darwin in the year 2018. He is currently working as Coordinator of Residential Services at Team Health.

Cristina "Tina" Poblador-Magbojos
Committee Member
Originally from the Philippines but with Spanish and Chinese heritage, Cristina came to Australia as an international post-grad student in 2016 where she finished her Masters in Business - Accounting degree at Victoria University (VU), Melbourne and became an associate member of CPA. Tina was also part of the first Australian delegation to the VU-VBCI (Victorian Business Confucius Institute) Chinese Winter Intercultural Exchange program hosted by the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China. She became an active volunteer for City of Melbourne's Social Investment and International Education portfolio and then Lord Mayor Sally Capp's core group, and was a team leader and volunteer for various events such as The Chinese New Year Festival, Lord Mayor Student Welcome, Youth Forum etc.
Cristina is a multicultural ambassador for Mental Health Foundation Australia and later appointed as national attaché in 2022.
Cristina worked with other organizations such as Australian Red Cross Connected Women, Australian-Japanese Association of the NT (AJANT) and was elected as secretary of the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory (FECCA member), the peak body supporting various multicultural communities. Tina is also part of the Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) for the Advisory Network of the National Rural Health Commissioner that promotes better rural health access and well-being. She also is the NT contributor and digital producer for SBS News Australia (SBS Filipino).
On top of advocating for youth and women empowerment, better mental health and diversity & inclusion, Tina currently works for the NT's fastest-growing "Family Friendly City" - City of Palmerston as Recruitment and Training Advisor/ Human Resources.


Sai Mohite
Committee Member
Sai Mohite is passionate about serving the community and being active in public life. She has got multidisciplinary education, including a psychology degree. She has worked in for private and public sectors, including roles in organisations such as APM. Having migrated to Australia with her family, Sai understands the problems faced by CALD people in Australia. Throughout her life, Sai has been volunteering for community groups, not-for-profit organisations and professional associations, often with leadership positions.

Mathews David
(Administrator and Project Coordinator)
Mathews is a skilled and experienced Registered Migration Agent (RMA) and an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Mathews brings 12 years of professional experience in working in Social services and worked with International organisations such as International Trade Union Confederation; the world's largest trade union federation as a coordinator for Migrant outreach Project. He also held senior positions in Therapeutic services under Department of Territory Families and Department of Health, Northern Territory Government.


Suzie Whitfield
(Mentor Advisor)
Suzie has a huge passion for personal development. She uses a range of evidence-based behaviour and coaching models to assist clients in gaining insight into themselves – their interest, abilities, personality and values. She will then leverage her experience to tailor the coaching approach to meet the individual’s circumstances and needs. Suzie’s experience in teaching helps to make sure the material used in the group sessions is relevant and appropriate for the specific audience. Also, her experience in event management helps to ensure it is upbeat and fun. Suzie also has plenty of life experience which she believes is key in this industry.
Suzie served in the British army reserves for 4 years. She has coached tennis in America, flown in a Private Jet across Canada and has climbed the highest mountain in Africa.
